South American Crime Ring Operating In Walz’s Minnesota

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is about as qualified to be vice president as Kamala Harris is to be president – and by that, we mean he’s not qualified at all.

News out of Walz’s state is that a dangerous South American crime ring has been targeted luxury homes in the state.

At a glance:

  • A South American burglary ring is targeting affluent homes in Minnesota suburbs, stealing millions in high-end valuables.
  • The burglars use advanced technology and hit homes when no one is present, leaving behind less valuable items.
  • Tim Walz, Minnesota’s Democratic governor and vice-presidential nominee, faces criticism as crime waves tied to border policies affect the state.

Residents in the Minneapolis suburb of Medina, Minnesota, have been warned about a dangerous trend of high-end burglaries. According to Medina Police Chief Jason Nelson, a “South American crime ring” has been flying into the country and specifically targeting affluent homes, using sophisticated tools like Wi-Fi jammers and GPS trackers to carry out quick, high-value thefts. The burglars are known to strike when homes are empty, taking only expensive jewelry and goods while leaving behind less valuable items.

“These criminals know what they’re doing,” Nelson said. “They’re in and out of master bedrooms in under 10 minutes, taking only high-value items and leaving costume jewelry behind.”

The burglary spree has hit multiple suburbs around Minneapolis, including Eden Prairie, Woodbury, and Lake Elmo, with millions of dollars’ worth of items stolen. Even prominent Minnesotans like Timberwolves guard Mike Conley and Twins owner Jim Pohlad have fallen victim to the thieves.

Dubbed “burglary tourism,” the thieves reportedly rent cars and travel throughout the Midwest, striking homes and then vanishing without a trace. Chief Nelson noted that the stolen goods aren’t showing up locally, leading police to believe the items are being transported elsewhere, possibly even out of the country.

As this crime spree unfolds, Gov. Tim Walz, who is also Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, finds himself under scrutiny. Walz has long been a supporter of Joe Biden’s immigration policies, which some say have contributed to an influx of criminal elements crossing the border. Critics argue that this “border crisis” is allowing dangerous gangs to operate more freely across the U.S., including in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and now Minneapolis.

While the Biden-Harris administration faces national pressure for its handling of immigration, residents in Minnesota are feeling the consequences firsthand, with the wave of burglaries adding to the growing concerns about crime linked to lax border policies.
