Democrat’s Dance Video Mocks Trump’s Address
Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett is facing backlash after posting what many are calling an “unfathomably cringe” TikTok video of herself dancing ahead of President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress. The Texas congresswoman was filmed with two other women lip-syncing and dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s music in her office and a hallway of Congress, while mocking what she incorrectly called the “State of DisUnion” address.
In the video, Crockett made her disdain for President Trump crystal clear, writing “I’m gonna be in attendance. DO NOT WATCH!” The display raised serious questions about the congresswoman’s maturity and respect for the office of the presidency, particularly as Trump was preparing to deliver an important address focused on the “Renewal of the American Dream.”
Staged Walkout and Profanity-Laced Comments
Crockett’s antics didn’t stop with the dance video. She was among several Democrats who staged a walkout during President Trump’s speech, with some revealing “RESIST” shirts in protest. Later, in an Instagram post explaining her actions, Crockett resorted to profanity when describing the President’s address.
“He up there, he’s spewing all kinds of nonsense and bullsh*t, let me just be real. We weren’t just going to sit for that sh*t,” Crockett said.
This vulgar language from an elected representative has shocked many Americans who expect a higher standard of decorum from those serving in Congress. Crockett’s history of attacking President Trump includes previously labeling him “an enemy to the United States.”
Democrat Disruptions During Presidential Address
Rep. Crockett wasn’t the only Democrat who chose to disrespect the President’s address. Texas Representative Al Green caused a significant disruption when he stood up and shouted during Trump’s speech, resulting in his removal from the chamber by security personnel.
“You have no mandate to cut Medicaid!” Texas Representative Al Green shouted before being escorted out.
While Democrats staged their theatrical protests, a recent Harvard/Harris survey indicated that more Americans approve of Trump’s handling of key issues compared to former President Joe Biden.
Social Media Backlash
The reaction to Crockett’s dance video on social media was swift and severe, with many users pointing out not only how embarrassing it was but also highlighting her error in calling the joint session a “State of the Union” address. Critics noted that this basic mistake from a sitting member of Congress showed a concerning lack of understanding about governmental processes.
In contrast to the Democrats’ childish antics, President Trump’s address focused on substantial issues including his administration’s successes, economic plans, immigration enforcement, and a vision for world peace. While Democrats like Crockett were busy with TikTok dances and walkouts, President Trump was speaking directly to the American people about issues that matter to working families.
