Joe Biden, when speaking at a fundraiser in Westchester, New York, at the home of the legendary actor Michael Douglas, accidentally flubbed the date of the riots, which occurred on January 6.
After touching down at JFK around 4:30 p.m., Biden took a flight to Westchester County Airport, where he touched down at about 5:45 p.m. Broadway (Route 9) was closed from Tarrytown’s White Plains Road (Route 119) to Irvington Village during the event.
As anti-Israel demonstrators flocked to the streets, the event shut down roadways and schools in the Irvington area where Douglas lives.
Eileen Fisher, a fashion designer, and Rodge Cohen, a Wall Street attorney, were among the famous people who showed up for the event.
There were at least 100 guests in attendance to listen to the gaffe-prone 81-year-old presidential hopeful in 2024.
His opponent, former president Donald Trump, is also facing allegations that he is too old to serve another term as president and is experiencing a “cognitive decline.”
Nevertheless, Trump asserts that his successor is an accomplished criminal kingpin who has “weaponized” the legal system to target him. He claims that Biden dictated all the indictments he is facing to undermine his most recent presidential campaign.
Biden, in his talk, made fun of his opponent for how he dealt with the COVID-19 outbreak and the Black Lives Matter demonstrations that occurred in the summer of 2020 after the death of George Floyd. Biden said Trump whispered falsehoods about COVID-19 and advised Americans to inject bleach into their arms– an assertion that has long been debunked and repeated by Biden incessantly.
Douglas’s wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, was not present at the dinner held at the couple’s riverside house, but Douglas said that she supported the president’s re-election in November and said, “Number 46 must become number 47.”
The president thanked Douglas for the compliment and then joked that they were similar in that they married “way above our stations.”
